I’m back!

I’m back!

On my last post here I mentioned that we were swamped with adoption paperwork, but that’s only part of the story. The other day I was going through pictures, and I realized I never put up pictures from the anniversary cruise Matt and I took in November. Then, I realized we got back from our cruise and it was December 5th so we were immediately full-swing into Christmas celebrations. Then, the very beginning of January we both felt God telling us now was the time to adopt. We sent in our application to AWAA the middle of January, found out we were accepted into the Ethiopia program the beginning of February. We announced our adoption February 6th and found out February 7th that I was pregnant! I was sick for the next 3 1/2 months (morning, afternoon and evening… sick, sick, sick!) so there wasn’t a moment that I wasn’t chasing a toddler, chasing adoption paperwork or trying to chase away my sickness! πŸ™‚ I’m grateful that about 2.5 weeks ago, my sickness ended and I have felt so much more energy not throwing up all day! I’m 21 (almost 22 weeks now!) and our 18 week ultrasound looked great! We are going to be surprised again (like we were with L) so we won’t find out gender for about 18 more weeks πŸ™‚

All that to say that in the midst of this crazy, hectic time I wouldn’t change a thing. I am so grateful for my healthy toddler, so grateful for progress on the adoption and was so grateful to be sick because I was pregnant! That’s what we’ve been up to recently. To follow along our adoption, you can go to www.bringhomebabyroberts.com. I’m hoping to post once or twice a week. I’d love to do more than that, but I don’t want to miss out on moments because I’m so worried about writing about them. πŸ™‚
