I’m taking a bath last night, and I look over to see that I am joined by a hot pink octopus and a turquoise turtle. The chair in our bedroom is now littered with tiny, adorable outfits waiting until someone wakes up to hang them in her room. There are burp cloths on the coffee table… hanging on the dining room chair… mixed up with the dish towels (oops!)… they’re multiplying faster than rabbits!
As I look around, I can’t believe how much someone who is only 25 inches long has touched every part of our house. But then again, it’s like my heart… which somehow you have managed to touch every part of in a mere eleven weeks. I love you, Lydia. I love our home and our family, and I love how you have become such a special part of it.
