800 Crosses

800 Crosses

Not trying to start the blog on a morbid note, but I was driving to my dentist’s office this morning when I glanced over to the lawn of a local church. The grass was filled with 800 tiny crosses, each one representing an abortion last month in Shelby County. I’ve seen this done before, but today it hit me in a weird way. Maybe it’s because our friends just had the sweetest little baby boy, but my heart broke for those babies and even more for their moms. I wish I knew each of those women’s faces, their hearts, their pains and struggles. I wonder how afraid they were, how desperate, how broken. I wish I knew them so I could reach out and give them a hug. Tell them it’s okay… they are loved and accepted… not alone anymore…
